Warranty seals
Tamperproof labels are an ideal protection against either re-labelling or falsified warranty claims. As the name suggests, they cannot be removed intact!
Two forms have proved to be effective.
Destructible labels:
It´s simply not possible to remove these labels in one piece after they have been applied to a surface. Bits of the label break off or crack when tampered with.
Void foil:
These labels contain a pre-defined layer that seperates from the rest of the foil when pulled off, leaving a word (mostly VOID) or a pattern behind.
We also have an alternative void material which has a detachable adhesive. When such a label is removed it leaves no visible trace on the product itself.
This may sound a bit absurd, however, in certain cases it does make a lot of sense. Let´s take a CD jewel case for example. You use a label as a seal, probably printed with "Non-returnable if seal is broken". Should somebody then peel back the label and open the CD box there will be no trace of adhesive on the box itself. When they try to attach the label back to the surface, it will certainly adhere but it will be clearly visible that the label has been removed. The word VOID can be seen on the label.
Typical areas of application are: Inspection labels, transport seals and warranty seals to assist with the verification of warranty claims.
