Smart Label

RFID tags are available in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Passive RFID tags are often used in inexpensive smart labels. Smart labels are very flat labels made up of a chip, an antenna and wiring attached to a wafer thin label.

Smart labels usually work with a frequency of either 13,56 MHz or 868 MHz. Communication with the antenna of a reader takes place using inductive coupling. The antenna itself is a cost-effective coil, simply made with a few windings. A battery is not required, because the necessary energy is gained from the induction field of the reader.

The chip used in the labels is also very inexpensive when made in bulk, meaning that smart labels give you great performance and are good value for money.
