Unipress Etiketten & Schilder isn´t only certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 but also, to the environmental management norm DIN EN ISO 14001, which is a matter of great importance to us and a fact that we are quite proud of.

Having an active interest in the environment and keeping a watchful eye on the level of waste produced during manufacturing, is a prerequisite for long term success. Our Green Label Line is an environment-friendly product range.

All our products are RoHS and WEEE conform.
Our products are either biodegradable or have a neutral effect on the environment.
As of summer 2008 we will only be using hydroelectric power.
Our water soluble paper labels disintegrate without a trace!

Environment-friendly production

We will continue to make sure that we only use materials that are manufactured under conditions, that only allow amounts of pollutants to be generated that are justifiable for the environment. The same points will be taken into consideration with regard to subsequent material processing and waste disposal. We are taking special care that the materials used for our current works expansion are ecologically and climatically optimal. We are planning on installing solar modules and the energy generated will be sold to a power supplier.

Is that all we can do?

Well, we´ve used special paving for our new car park which allows rain water to pass through to the layers of gravel underneath. These in turn allow a recirculation back to the groundwater. We have planted domestic conifers and deciduous tress on our grounds and we have also have a small biotope.

There is definately more that has to be done before we can say that we have a 100% environment-friendly production, but we´re working on it.
